- Have you read The Circle, yet? https://t.co/rIx5ehMDtR
- @WebStormIDE this dialogue is buggy. https://t.co/AtKWTSCEsU
- @Lynoure Right now transparency is very good here. I can ask everybody easily if I have a question and all information is freely available.
- @rubstrauber have you tried https://t.co/7cdGL6brZx, yet?
- @WebStormIDE Wrong link?
- @ghosh1s Sure. I will have a tutorial ready soon, btw.
- @Lynoure It does not feel like that. I have no restraints to share within the organization, so I think this facilitates transparency.
- Wow! Meute is a techno marching band and this is fantastic: https://t.co/Ui1uEdNsjr https://t.co/jw8Dq61ZJm
- @mirjam_diala @FinjaReloaded The quality of the video here is not so good, but he gives a good introduction to TDD: https://t.co/gpPRb6KAvR
- @mirjam_diala @FinjaReloaded IMHO This book (if you prefer to read) is one of the best introductions to TDD: https://t.co/bK0CSlcHAr It has "Object Oriented" in the title, but the basic techniques can also be applied for more functional software.
- @mirjam_diala @FinjaReloaded Also, follow @ministryoftest for a lot of awesome content around testing.
- @FinjaReloaded @mirjam_diala Sure! If you have questions or anything else, feel free to reach out. If you are looking for a community of 3,000 nice humans who love TDD, come join the Software Crafters Slack and one of our local communities and conferences: https://t.co/zCoTsgR8yL

- Isn't it great that @NordicTweets office here in #Trondheim 🇳🇴 now has a bike repair area? 🚴♀️👩🔧 This is why so many of use come to work by bike every day, all year round. https://t.co/4Cxk99d6sJ
- Beautiful, no matter which weather. #Trondheim 🇳🇴 https://t.co/NyddMvN8MF
- People who leave their office and leave on their screens without power-saving and locked screen freak me out. https://t.co/rkS19P5kG8

- @nathanrodger Similar: https://t.co/iOE3e9b1Iu
- @kotzendekrabbe I think around 60-80 hours in total spred over a few months makes me feel well prepared enough. Add to that a few practice runs at meetups.
- What a story 😦: 30 big U.S. companies servers were compromised by altered Supermicro hardware. https://t.co/HKv2A08evS
- 🛬 in #FRA. I'll be here, meeting friends and family and working remotely for the next two weeks. Oh, and I will be eating out sooo much ;-)
- @raphaelfyi Bloomberg's sources say otherwise.
- @powtac Die Dinger sind cool, da läuft sogar JavaScript drauf (ESP8266): https://t.co/bRKIHLL375
- Yes, please! It's maddening to see decisions getting made without qualified customer input. We can only develop great solutions if we think about how a feature integrates in the entire value chain. Building something for it's own sake makes it a hobby project. https://t.co/evCEOpy77Z
- @mirjam_diala @dachfest @anialdam @g33konaut @ohaithear YES! :-) You will do great!
- Is 7 the number of electrical powered circular saws that calls for an intervention?
- @mattsches https://t.co/03JDYtIcSh
- For me writing tests means I use at least two brains, they might be the same (still mine) but it adds a second, and important step to the act of writing code: declaring the intention. https://t.co/eGk3Juq8i6
- I always remind myself that what the Japanese do while driving trains looks so obvious and superfluous but this is exactly the point - and it saves lives: https://t.co/f7RBvjKrSp
- @EmmaWedekind In order to get machines help us and make our lives better, we need to tell them what we need them to do. Unfortunately they do not speak our language so my job is to explain it to them. But I do not speak machine very good so often it is like talking to a dog. A very stupid dog.
- On what's wrong in Silicon Valley: "The endless use of “scale” as an excuse for being unable to solve problems in a human way. The faux earnestness, the self-righteousness. All those cheery product ads set to ukulele music." https://t.co/tn8NT8eeri https://t.co/QpKmMUNGZG
- Great summary about how to share knowledge about engineering tasks: https://t.co/UJONUZSqhb
- I just signed up and am looking forward to this evening of hacking and meeting some known and new faces. #rheinmainrocks https://t.co/AhU0EiWXPK
- @edent Yes, Chromium on Arch Linux.
- 😍 I finally got my hand on some official @ConfBuddy merch! https://t.co/dGASLfSzfb
- R.I.P. ⚰️ Google+ While I really liked their privacy-first "Circles" it never saw a lot of adoption in my bubble, it was probably too complicated and came too late for winning over significant number of users from Facebook. https://t.co/dniPDitWCj
- If you are a woman, you are more likely to be seen as rude and less intelligent when interrupting a man as if a man would do it - and what to do about it: #genderbias 🤦 https://t.co/tsRdEsqRnZ
- @csamywilliams @ConfBuddy Yes, I hope that at least one @ConfBuddy will soon be at every conference in the world!
- Bloomberg source told them spy chip story "didn't make sense": https://t.co/SwTTIkF76n
- Today is Release Day! I will have new #iot stuff to share later for @NordicTweets https://t.co/RbdiKQqs4W ... now going to spin me up some serverless.
- @benjamin Yes. More servers, which are not servers. One could think that we had better words for what we are doing, but 🤷♂️.
- Things that took longer than expected with today's deployment: - migrating from manual config to infrastructure as code means you have to clean up old cruft properly beforehand - migrations on production datasets did take surprisingly long
- Aaaand here it is: 🎉 Our first release of the @NordicTweets #nRFConnect Device API! Connect your #BLE, #LTE or any other device to our free #IoT development platform and interact with that device through a straight-forward #RESTful #API. Get started on https://t.co/uZ6OTS8m9C > https://t.co/dEWBILt6kr
- We have examples for accessing Bluetooth Low Energy services through our mobile gateways (available for Android and iOS): https://t.co/MX3V1z4Vnf #BLE
- Or you can use the @NordicTweets Thingy:52 to receive alerts via webhooks (e.g. in @SlackHQ) if the temperature rises above a certain level: https://t.co/pLI2V2sCFo #thingy52
- Last and probably most exciting is the ability to connect to our API with MQTT using your own custom device, or one of our #LTE or #NBIOT DKs (if you are lucky and can get your hands on the #nRF91): https://t.co/as4ToveWE3
- I'm eager for any kind of feedback! Please hit me with any small or big thing that you can think of! The project is in an early stage and your feedback will have a big impact. You can reach me via DM and on our official support platform: https://t.co/gln6XrvCvU #LeanStartup
- Happy connecting! https://t.co/m0nXXdew0x
- Visiting my friends @Code_Door who give refugees and members of underrepresented groups free coding education. This is a fantastic project where I am giving remote support via Slack these days, so it's a welcome change to see the students in person again. https://t.co/xddqDBXq8N
- @JensRantil I don't get what you are trying to say.
- @NativeWired In Norwegian we have a trick: we can use the old way of saying it: "syv" - and way easier to distinguish from tjue (20) which is pronounced nearly the same.
- How ML is totally screwing with your business, episode 457: https://t.co/h85DpumSzJ
- @juliarubin @FrauMamonova What did they write about Blockchain below that?!
- Sticker swap with @benjamin: a @ConfBuddy sticker for him, and my laptop now sports his lovely face! https://t.co/t9kn9ZTARX
- @emsuiko Not with me, but I have some left and will send them to you once I am back in Trondheim. I gave most of the left-overs to @dc7590 so he might have some to spare as well.
- @troubalex @benjamin @ConfBuddy Oh, gee. I don't remember exactly where I picked that up. I'm a sucker for vector deers...
- Have you seen this deer? https://t.co/rm3dfZXWsH
- @troubalex @benjamin @ConfBuddy I had this one for a very long time as a phone wallpaper. IMHO fantastic tattoo material, too. Although geometric shapes as tattoos rock. Marie Kraus might be able to do something fantastic: https://t.co/x2UtUO8Wzc https://t.co/EDPpmgSUPT
- Very cool! @JSKongress will provide coaching for first-time speakers. You will learn sooo much from @g33konaut who is a fantastic speaker! https://t.co/7DtNhJXw7t
- @troubalex We got the deer sticker from @mayflowergmbh's @productownerbc last year.

- @ConfBuddy @alex0ptr @codetalkshh @emsuiko @fabrik42 I have a great teacher!
- I'm a digital muli. https://t.co/4NHJJvoy1g
- @jscamp I think most interesting will be to see if #webassembly become widely accepted and we can build safer, more performant and richer web applications and how we can transition more JS developers to safer languages (👋 Rust).
- @jscamp Node.js 10 (follow @fhinkel) will become LTS and I am looking forward to more codebases migrating to this version. I hope we will see a new discussion around writing Vanilla JS (I do love TypeScript but it's hard to get it right).
- @jscamp @fhinkel I am excited about @npmjs hiring 7+ people and looking forward what they will do to improve my daily live as a CI/CD fanatic. @maybekatz is one who should be followed, I do run her code every day.
- @jscamp My challenge is to find the balance between the ability to evolve our codebase and keep everything working in a cloud-native environment where I no longer have one node process but hundreds of decoupled execution environments.
- One of the big fallacies of #agile IMO: a completed sprint is seen as a deliverable by itself, sometimes even as the most important one. https://t.co/axqhnw73cr
- On my way to #hacktoberfestffm!
- #hacktoberfest #hacktoberfestffm about to start soon. https://t.co/BJ3dxUAVDc

- @mirjam_diala @ConfBuddy @WTM_Frankfurt @CSSFrankfurt @fabrik42 Happy to spread some @ConfBuddy love at this great event where @vicbergquist and her team made sure that everyone felt welcome and safe. We need more of these! I'm a bit sad that now for the second year I can't make it to @RuhrJS ... It's on my bucket list! https://t.co/0AQQQ1Rfw0
- Drinking three Club-Mate after 1800 was probably not such a smart idea. https://t.co/5mYa4XjjLV
- Fantastic autumn colours here in Germany and 21°. 😅 ☀️ https://t.co/poFUnhNjOV
- A fantastic conference, you should definitely submit your talk there! I will! https://t.co/QrndW5sFy9
- @rradczewski since you have invented the fantastic coffee brewing kanban excercise you might like @klausleopold's Paper Boat excercise which he uses to explain WIP limits: https://t.co/zWz7HeqSL8
- Don't forget: having a standing desk does not need to be expensive! https://t.co/5szAjuZByL
- That is amazing: @heimathafenWI launches an accelerator for social and sustainable regional startups. https://t.co/XAdwSrEPSh #rheinmainrocks
- I will be in the "What's the best backend language?" panel representing #JavaScript @codetalkshh this week. I have an opinion (and shared some of it here: https://t.co/u5oZ1ujXYQ) but I would really like to hear what you have to say! Why do you prefer JavaScript for your backend?
- I recently realized that #impact (as in the number of users using the result of my work) is the single greatest source of satisfaction for me. I love to implement complex solutions, automate and continuously deliver. But if I deliver into a vacuum the joy I feel is short lived. https://t.co/kzVT7Qe529
- The @RuhrJS videos are coming in: https://t.co/2EjjLIbOqt #ruhrjs18
- Cool! GitHub offers a task runner: https://t.co/gjGbO40KCV It will be interesting to see how they mix testing and deployment statuses in a user-friendly way. I like the separation: GitHub receives test results for the code, but deployment results are a different concern.
- But it will make continuous deployment way more approachable for many developers, which is awesome!
- @wcgallego Check out https://t.co/bK0CSlcHAr and Test Driven Development by Example https://t.co/tZBh5R84lc
- @sebmck @dan_abramov I would use a list and reduce-inspired API: styles( { backgroundBlue: true }, { backgroundRed: true } ) Because list are better know to preserve the items order.
- @kventil @FranziskaNaja Schon Mal bei @Continental gesucht? https://t.co/kRC4pETe6z Die haben einige Standorte in der Region.

- On my way from Frankfurt to @codetalkshh and already joined by my @ConfBuddy @emsuiko ... So we are also #TravelBuddies ... https://t.co/5ysNCFd90j
- @ConfBuddy Will do! It's always fantastic to come to Hamburg.

- @testController @NordicTweets Thanks, we need more great animated videos that mock our profession!
- But, but, but, don't misquote me! You *do* want to run #JavaScript on an embedded device! With @Espruino it's fun. Promise! No JS promised, though ;-) https://t.co/zF7VN9WA6D
- @fabrik42 Thank you for the feedback. The great thing: it won't burn a big hole in your pocket.

- @mirjam_diala @codetalkshh @ElectricMaxxx @ktrajchevska @alex0ptr @TweetsOfSumit It's such a small community. I met @ailon again, whom I know from NDC Oslo. Sometimes it feels like a circus, touring Europe.
- @mirjam_diala @codetalkshh @ElectricMaxxx @ktrajchevska @alex0ptr @TweetsOfSumit @ailon I can see that you will be a member of this circus soon, too.
- @amokleben Mit 2 Scheiben Brot. Was? Was?

- @emsuiko Thanks to the lovely @kotzendekrabbe who we effortlessly assimilated into our pack! https://t.co/pCaleZO3sc
- FFFFantastic value for the money! There is no excuse to not learn testing #javascript now anymore! https://t.co/aF94FTOfLf
- I'm totally aware how easy it is for me to say: "Go spend 💰 on online resources!" and that very few people on the planet can afford this form of education so easily. So I'll try to collect more affordable resources in this thread. https://t.co/uc6AEEL0WN
- You can pay what you can for this great ebook from @rwieruch which also covers #testing in #React: https://t.co/iRK4mXRJBR

- Goodbye 🇩🇪. See you again in December. https://t.co/LAcyhiM5vo
- @TonyBologni @aboutyou_tech @Frille @lutzhuehnken @guusvw91 It totally is a bullshit discussion. I think we did a good job in pointing this out politely while delivering some cheek-in-tongue burnes to our fellow panelists. I kindly invite you to watch the recording of it later and see for yourself.
- @philipptpunkt Thank you for the feedback! I'm happy you enjoyed it. It's a fun way to get started with IoT hacking.
- The age of language battles is over. Today we pick the language that best gets the job in the given economical context. Unless it is you, Perl. We will keep running away from you screaming! 🤪 https://t.co/KwAkm2rcOb
- @NativeWired I'm not judging! https://t.co/9OajIrOTEy
- @TonyBologni @aboutyou_tech @Frille @lutzhuehnken @guusvw91 @codetalkshh needs a while to prepare it, I suggest you subscribe to the YT channel here: https://t.co/BeCfrJGFek

- Yes, you might not be able to log-in to GitHub: https://t.co/e9FLjg0YJT
- https://t.co/zzgYXL0NKi.
- What a sad joke that the SQLite authors make about Code of Conducts. Their CoC https://t.co/LWAfQCX2A2 asks you to e.g. "Devote yourself frequently to prayer." https://t.co/Ol5zmxkxkn
- Great article with a lot concrete measures on how to improve your organizations attractiveness for female applicants: https://t.co/7hI6rqgJEA

- I saw the first 🌨️ today here in #Trondheim 🇳🇴
- @beriberikix @particle Will do! First problem I already encountered: the lost password feature during the sign-up does not work.
- @beriberikix @particle Just did. I receive no email when I request a new PW for [email protected]
- @rickkas7 @beriberikix @particle Yes, they arrived.
- If I have an OpenAPI 3.0 response body with a list of items, there seems to be no way to document links for the items itself? https://t.co/c35VK6nw4s @SwaggerHub
- @mirjam_diala How writing tests first make you write better components. How to get started with your first test. How to keep going because you will eventually hit a brick wall.
- I'm at a tech meetup in #Trondheim 🇧🇻 and only men are here. 🤪
- Thanks for hosting the #AWS usergroup #Trondheim tonight @Sportradar! https://t.co/klL4dEFKT2
- Are you okay @WebStormIDE? https://t.co/3YkhEbdxUF
- Nice case study: React and GraphQL at the NYTimes https://t.co/IMmNRix2SX
- A study found that open-space offices reduce face-to-face interaction because people isolate themselves more in noisy environments. https://t.co/MtNWi5ZRf0
- It's nice to be featured like this and get some attention but the number of commits have nothing to say whether someone is a good software developer. It just means I like to commit often. So take this ranking as what it is, a list of active GitHub users. https://t.co/nyniwhiQ5O
- @WebStormIDE I kinda like it. Like a MOTD...
- #shitrecruiterssay https://t.co/lM9J21sP4b

- @marcoscheel You have the tabs in the same browser window. This does not work with Chrome people accounts.
- @mirjam_diala @dan_abramov Yes! Getting rid of Classes is so great!
- @Paratron @mirjam_diala @dan_abramov Simplified lifecycle management, better testability. Epic Win!

- @Journalistix @Flickr Thank you! Norway is such an easy model. Hard to not get awesome shots.
- Hello! Nice to see some @HolidayCheckLab people coming to @codefreeze_fi!
- Waiting for the integration tests ... https://t.co/dBGhD2lS9q
- @liran_tal of a cloud-native application...
- @liran_tal It is an integration test over the entire codebase, in an isolated production environment running on @awscloud with all real service instances.
- @liran_tal And the product has a lot of async features, like webhook, MQTT, that are tested.
- @liran_tal Well, for me that would be a unit test, if dependencies are mocked. Actually part of our solution is depending on inter-AWS-service features, and mocking these would require more work and we would duplicate these definitions (one for test and one for prod).
- @liran_tal Thank you, yes. If it were only data store. But I have to ensure interaction between serverless servers, which I cannot run in a simplified version locally. I'm doing a new all about this @EuroTestingConf, so I will have something to share about this next year.
- @liran_tal @EuroTestingConf Will you come nevertheless?
- Good Morning #Trondheim 🇧🇻 https://t.co/H1oahy5wDm
- @Journalistix Yes! At least when it's not raining ;-)
- @lisacrispin @DrSEldh @maaretp @techgirl1908 @ron_werner @e_tester @EuroTestingConf @tanja_vos I would add @FrauMamonova to that list.

- @PiaOnTheMove Was nervt mehr? Es immer wieder erklären zu müssen, dass man auf Alkohol verzichtet, oder dass die nicht-alkoholischen Alternativen in Restaurants immer nur Zucker-Limos sind?
- SQLite now uses Mozilla's Community Participation Guidelines as their Code of Conduct. Thank you! https://t.co/hjzfRj2UeQ
- @martinengwicht This is Norway. There are not that many ;-)

- We went for a short Sunday afternoon hike to Bymarka in #Trondheim 🇧🇻 and this is just Norway being redicoulously beautiful. https://t.co/pV3Xe61dQB
- @datenreisender Where was that?
- @gazebo_c Thank you for sharing this. I cannot imagine what it must feel like. It is great that you found a way to cope with it so that you can talk openly about it today.
- A very well done explanation of the S.O.L.I.D. principle! https://t.co/WI2PsISJSG
- Fixing the brakes @NordicTweets's very own bike repair shop. https://t.co/Q738XpoQNW
- I received a replacement unit for my @XBowstech #mechanicalkeyboard and I'm really happy that I went with the blank caps originally since I think the stenciled letters look a little clunky. https://t.co/fIU91AykD0

- A typical React app: https://t.co/vfUgz2zFRP
- Isn't this one of the weirdest things in #JavaScript: const foo = () => { foo() // you can call foo here }
- @_Tomalak It's not unusual, I use it very often. But for me, when mentally parsing the code, foo inside the function should be undefined. Having access to an outside effect feels just wrong to me.
- @timothep @emilybache @rjrodger Looking forward to hear this one!
- @FranziskaNaja Wie programmieren, nur mit mehr Heavy Metal! Wäre glaube ich meine zweite Berufswahl gewesen, ich hatte schon als Kind eine Drehbank im Haus ....
- @mirjam_diala Where are you stuck at?
- @mirjam_diala Yes, that's the way to start. You should answer this question first: what is the one thing that the attendees should take away from this talk. You could start with a "recap" slide, which wont be in the final slideset, but you can use that as a guidepost.
- @anna_schef @mirjam_diala This is also great in order to work on the structure of the post. Re order, split or remove post-its until it feels good. Only what you can write on a small post-it should be on a slide (no cheating with small handwriting, just 1-2 keywords).
- @anna_schef @mirjam_diala Have at max 1 slide per minute of talk time, as a 📏 of 👍.
- @anna_schef @mirjam_diala For a lightning talk you could actually work with only one slide.
- Here is the video of my talk on prototyping #IoT products using #JavaScript I did @codetalkshh. I was a little short on time, so you will mostly take away why we as developers should look into IoT as a market and that it is pretty damn interesting. https://t.co/kCDltwTNBH
