My Twitter archive of September 2021
In October 2022 I left Twitter. This is my tweet archive for September 2021.
Tweets
- Very happy to see that popular JavaScript packages are making the shift to ESM: https://t.co/csorNerw0K
- Getting closer to migrate to AWS IoT Device SDK v2, now I need to figure out how to TLS on Mac OS X: https://t.co/7xq3hS9tLS
- @vicbergquist Teaching refugees to code and getting them into a paid job in Germany.
- @ajitsonlion @vicbergquist Check out @Code_Door and @ReDISchool!
- $285 for a hand grinder?! https://t.co/IvjquAAbJb
- @goosebumps4 I have a Baratza Encore burr grinder which is 150 EUR.
- @pati_gallardo Also hospitalization is pointing upwards here in Trondheim. Super bad. We are seeing the highest numbers since start of the Pandemic, and a large number is not counted, because many are students and haven't changed their home address, yet. https://t.co/si7NWa9SMq
- Just had a serious expat mindfuck: understanding Dr. Alban who speaks Swedish in this @Klarna spot. https://t.co/4HttMLqSUU 🤯
- Just discovered that the .funcignore of Azure functions has no effect I was pushing a lot of sensitive artifacts to the webserver :/ https://t.co/5FgNGnEi0m https://t.co/lJ2WrYFrCu
- @SamirTalwar Not sure, but Republic sounds far fetched.
- Norway is starting vaccination of children which are 12 year and older. In week 31-34 nine children (0-17 years old) were hospitalised with COVID-19. 😲
- After checking the archive, it actually excluded the files. But because it's a deny list a lot of local files need to be included (which are ignored via a global gitignore), so I have started to build the archive myself.
- Positively surprised how smooth that went. And it's now running on ESM! https://t.co/oMCDhFU0L5
- Actually surprised that migration of my @AzureFunctions' app to ESM was pretty straightforward. The only "hack" needed was to rename the entry functions' extensions to .mjs. https://t.co/mPHvdIi2Iz https://t.co/4gFz1e710V
- Always surprised when I encounter a new, terrible way of quoting in emails. Today: angry fruit salad quotes. https://t.co/4zAkmUodXB
- Passt! https://t.co/8llYCrsd09
- Flash was close, but yes. https://t.co/W2YflTxRxY
- This talk by @aahunsberger is a MUST WATCH for engineers. She does a fantastic job of highlighting why studying communication is critical in becoming a great engineer: https://t.co/ERKeOdwQ4O
- @aahunsberger I tried to put these ideas in a blog post (https://t.co/xMpbQVHD0J), but she has the education to frame it so much better. 🙏
- @aahunsberger Thank you for this feedback, it means a lot!
- @refnode Eine Partei die die wichtigen Dinge anpackt, und mich ab und zu zum Lachen bringt. Warum machen das nicht mehr?
- Great to see many first-timers signing up for @codefreeze_fi! Have you checked out the northern-most conference for humans in software? https://t.co/f80DEaySTl https://t.co/VjFFKi5FXi
- @BenoitChiquet @AnnNat @codefreeze_fi Awesome!
- @emsuiko https://t.co/TlmP0ZhvP4
- @pavsaund Thank you for the feedback! Happy to hear that it provided value to you!
- @spazierendenken There is no "right" to attend an event. As the organizer you can always remove people from your conference at your discretion.
- Takes a concept we've had a while back @NordicTweets to the next level, by adding force feedback. https://t.co/t53HQIK8gH https://t.co/XjbbLbch1R
- Just realized that I have to implement a mock HTTP API service in Azure... I hope this time I will be able build a fully automatically deployable solutions because no Active Directory B2C is involved for authentication. https://t.co/epiKL54uwv
- Hm, maybe there is a good reason to start making cables we use at work ourselves, as @RidingWolf suggested: Wireless key-logger hidden inside USB-C to Lightning cable https://t.co/3gu9OeBzHt
- #frogsconf is happening tomorrow but I'm getting my 2nd vaccine shot in the morning, so I'm probably not going to attend. I'll miss chatting with others about finding better ways to make building software suck less. https://t.co/iKXC0V6p8W
- Really happy that @ezagroba is going over the short version of the #frogsconf Code of Conduct and presenting it in the introduction! https://t.co/hkd3UbIqYl
- Things they don't tell MBAs what the primary function of a company should be: https://t.co/sBmWq0cEp6
- #frogsconf group photo! https://t.co/z4eRgBAbGS
- The map https://t.co/tt2qMqsLZB made for #frogsconf is pretty cool: https://t.co/zKdT7mz1jv
- We are starting the lean coffee at #frogsconf ... this is going to be interesting! https://t.co/SqouOcutXk
- @stephaniecodes @goethalss ☝🏻
- @goethalss @stephaniecodes https://t.co/4qPzT6ck2U
- Wait, encoding errors are still a thing? https://t.co/9q7EPgVjFK
- I'm in a small but super interesting session on end-to-end testing. #frogsconf https://t.co/bbJYrkNAzd
- @Der_Pesse This is https://t.co/tt2qMqsLZB.
- There was an awesome lunch conversion at #frogsconf about "rebel agile" (love the term!) which turned into a great talk on how to hack your organization. Engineers are at a unique place in an org to engage in some subversive maneuvers to change the organization!
- Voted. #Bundestagswahl21
- The PERFECT feature for @MiroHQ would be to add an audio room feature (like https://t.co/tt2qMqsLZB, @SpatialChatTeam). #frogsconf
- @lisacrispin Yeah, you are not the only one with audio issues :/
- We looked at how to balance time pressure and code quality at #frogsconf. It's often not immediately obvious why to add tests to your codebase, especially of working on prototypes and experiments. But what if this project does not fail but actually becomes successful? https://t.co/CthBtB5haQ
- @khgdrn ... oder abhebt.
- @ezagroba Yes, pretty awesome day! 🤘🏻
- @beriberikix https://t.co/n1PjifUUdf
- *le sigh* at another tool who tries to visualize architecture using auto-generated diagrams and ends up being useless. https://t.co/Dgs5Np21db
- @atyborska93 @EmilyKager https://twitter [.] com/<REDACTED>/status/1411723072709746693
- @_Iyalei It did, you can still find the thread. https://t.co/1ivoAapf7G
- @_Iyalei It's not worth it. Like the rest of his "content".
- @vometia @_Iyalei I've summarized that earlier for your convenience: https://t.co/WSnq2Xs4m6
- @ichaos1985 Ja, da brauche ich kein Tool für um mich daran zu erinnern ;-)
- @mirjam_diala 😍
- @lisihocke Awesome match! Congratulations!
- 5 more participants signed up for @codefreeze_fi, and again mostly first-timers. I am so looking forward to this!
- @borderless_dev you should submit a session about how you use tech to give people access to basic necessities with @DistributeAid! https://t.co/U9MshMoEzP
- @lisihocke Oh, you will be working with @Tweet_Cassandra! How awesome!
- What a massive banger! https://t.co/UcUqhdt7mp
- @Tweet_Cassandra @lisihocke https://t.co/5NudqDyUQF
- People complain that ESM makes testing impossible, because you can't mock modules. You don't need to. Don't use global instances instead and inject dependencies. #JavaScript #TDD
- @elboart You should apply too, and do a lightning talk about your art and code! https://t.co/U9MshMoEzP
- @Ravetracer Thank you!
- @Ravetracer Hör auf Bitcoin zu minen!
- @mmatuzo IBM Accessibility has a pretty well structured guide: https://t.co/I79Sm8MamC
- Documentation example vs Implementation https://t.co/CGK1pTxerf
- Super awesome to read the @NordicTweets is providing funds for training teachers @teenscancode! https://t.co/9ctdwe2S3L
- Sweden's COVID-19 response is just on another level. https://t.co/eVbkoSF3ea
- Norway would top that chart with 77,1% and 89,7%. https://t.co/Ulss1vuTma https://t.co/QuzVyL8qXq
- @jrosaproenca Yes, so good! And since Saturday I am part of the 89,7%!
- @gfrancesco11 Oh right! FHI reports for adults only! I should have checked my own calculations: https://t.co/Bucl2qM9lq 61.09% / 72.55% puts us in 9th place.
- @zimmskal This is a chart generated with https://t.co/rzgFQ3MqEv.
- That worked out quite nice. Azure functions and Table Storage are good options to provide the serverless mock HTTP API which the other functions running in the Azure solution can call, so I can test that they honor the API contract. https://t.co/11W63YLkSF
- @kotzendekrabbe Awesome picture!
- @_francied You can buy the ones from IKEA standalone, the electric one is very beefy, even suitable for heavy desks.
- @borderless_dev Haha! Yes, if you do that (and some have to), there is a lot of things that can go wrong!
- @_francied It has screw holes at the bottom, so you could buy wheels for it. It's this one: https://t.co/yXosUlq5DX Die Füße kann man raus drehen und dann Rollen montieren. https://t.co/7Gj0ekLb5X
- @_francied Jesus, excuse my trilingual brain.
- @_francied Those should fit: https://t.co/kNGphwtIfV
- @Lynoure https://t.co/ioQLf5ZrFd (not available in EU) so XPS 13 has been very Linux friendly for many years: https://t.co/FrJvMXtRVw, there is even a Developer Edition (9300), but that's not easily available. The new @TUXEDOComputers Pulse also looks great: https://t.co/HlbaAfkcw6
- @Ravetracer Shit. Was hat dazu geführt?
- @Ravetracer Fuck, echt.
- I wanna build those! https://t.co/InvjnL4lqN
- @NativeWired @lisacrispin @RisingLinda @FionaCCharles I guess @boosterconf would be delighted to have you!
- @NativeWired @lisacrispin Skål! (med godt norsk akevitt!)
- Never had that feeling since 1999 when the Dot Com bubble burst. Start working on your fuck-you-money fund instead.
- If the number of open issues in your team's issue tracker is ever increasing, what are you telling them?
- @marcobahn @MaritvanDijk77 I was not implying that the developers are responsible for that because they are not "productive" enough.
- @idanmelamed @ynab We started tracking expenses basically 17 years ago, and developed a very good idea about unnecessary spendings, which we then could invest. We payed an independent financial advisor to assist us check the existing contracts. Today we still mostly have non-stock based funds.
- @idanmelamed @ynab So everything excess we have goes into medium risk ETFs today.
- @idanmelamed @ynab Being free of kids is a big part of the fuck-you-money fund!
- That was supposed to be a reply to https://t.co/byNLqh93BI https://t.co/TV09NvV9rk
- If an alcohol-related activity gets a dedicated time slot in your event, your event is not inclusive.
- @chris_mcmahon @MaritvanDijk77 @marcobahn Is it, though? After 16 years it's still not solved, sounds like this bug report is impossible to solve. So why keep it open?
- Nobody: My companies HR system: The day and month based on this system's clock match your birth date in our database. Please enjoy this auto-generated email which reminds you of your existence. Do not reply to this message.
- TIL: Instagram has a field for pronouns! https://t.co/2xBpznSIVY
- @borderless_dev Thank you Taylor! 🍻 https://t.co/PGEEirwKGG
- @MaritvanDijk77 No! Being a programmer means you have great analytical skill, can structure problems. You could find work in many places. That would be a great open space discussion, btw. Would love to explore what's options exist.
- @elboart Awesome, let me know if I can help you with the proposal!
- https://t.co/9w24BhAK6n https://t.co/HuSPPuQcTG
- @type__error There is @AppCfp.
- @RidingWolf @codefreeze_fi Me, too! @tdpauw
- @pati_gallardo The should be the bare minimum, @valginorge.
- Bra jobb, Norge! 🇳🇴 #valg2021
- https://t.co/a2T8ga10p5 https://t.co/oB2YDDv59O
- We have a new sauna in #Trondheim and it's amazing! https://t.co/wYefocenms
- We have a super interesting #job @NordicTweets for a #JavaScript developer: build our in-house supply chain operations support application in @vuejs and @nuxt_js. Location is based in Muntinlupa 🇵🇭, Zhubei 🇹🇼, or Oslo/Trondheim 🇳🇴. https://t.co/H61GBlBBML
- @yetanotherfish It's run by students from @NTNU: https://t.co/XfgmLIBHLD
- @aahunsberger https://t.co/ZV9A2Sy7KB
- @Tweet_Cassandra Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls is pretty calming! https://t.co/J9q6NUX6rw
- @ianrohdebell Have fun drilling!
- Just tried a workaround for the annoying case where my microphone stops working during running meetings in @MicrosoftTeams for Linux: use the browser app in Chrome!
- @alterisian I guess it's important to explain the value of having the camera on, that it's necessary for bonding and also to observe reactions to what you are saying. It's also important to see the other side, that it's tiring, and some tools don't allow to turn off your own video image.
- @alterisian Yeah, if you can't talk with your team about empathy and bonding, then that's the problem.
- Oh, a standard I am looking forward to read: https://t.co/pIoTKbPZVn
- I've managed to configure an #Azure Storage Queue and Functions so that I can prevent #IoT devices from hammering a third-party API. What's annoying a little bit is that it's not possible to filter incoming device messages based on the MQTT topic (AKA property bags).
- That means I have to run an Azure function in front of the queue that filters out the right messages from the stream of all IoT messages on the hub. Which sucks, because it's a lot of wasted invocations. On AWS the rules for MQTT messages are much more powerful.
- To the white dudes opining that caring about gender-neutral language is not a problem worth discussing: have you for once considered that it's not a problem FOR YOU? https://t.co/afUwOsrw9B
- @leiderleider @gazebo_c It's one thing to be sceptical, but another to deny that it's a problem worth considering.
- .@GitHub codespaces is pretty amazing: I can give developers a one-click-to-running-test-suite-in-the-browser. https://t.co/hhUMW6S1oS https://t.co/xfQz2ILCag
- @AngelaRiggs_ @lisihocke At @NordicTweets we are hiring multiple roles that focus on quality: https://t.co/PQzXx9qu5D
- Writing ADRs is therapeutic.
- @kotzendekrabbe Sorry! ADR is short for Architecture Decision Records: https://t.co/mATIfpg2rc https://t.co/q6aKiGuavJ
- @paulofaco_ Multiple per project so they can be versioned / referenced easier.
- @troubalex I think in many ways, the Norwegian society is much more traditional than in other countries, maybe because they are taught that the individual is not as important and thus will try to not deviate too much from the "norm".
- @Csdxw47 Yes, Markdown and Git.
- @EmbeddedTechExp @NordicTweets You can read more about it here: https://t.co/CBx5PqGxBj
- @HannesPreishub @goloroden @thenativeweb Es gibt Forschung zu dem Thema (e.g. Prewitt-Freilino, Jennifer & Caswell, T. Andrew & Laakso, Emmi. (2011). The Gendering of Language: A Comparison of Gender Equality in Countries with Gendered, Natural Gender, and Genderless Languages. Sex Roles. 66. 10.1007/s11199-011-0083-5.)
- @HannesPreishub @goloroden @thenativeweb Aber nicht verwunderlich, dass es nicht mehr dazu gibt (siehe 99%). Kannst Du erläutern, warum es "pseudo aggressiv" ist Entwickler*innen zu sagen?
- I keep getting blown away by some conference organizers' ability to perpetuate stereotypes... https://t.co/yDtJr8HQsa
- @HannesPreishub @goloroden @thenativeweb Hab ich. Ist leider nur pseudoverständlich, sonst hätte ich ja nicht gefragt!
- @goloroden @HannesPreishub @thenativeweb Ah, I see! Würde mich trotzdem interessieren, wieso uns das als Community nicht inklusiver macht? Was würde denn deiner Meinung nach tatsächlich progressiv sein?
- @Maaikees @TristanLombard2 🤞🏻
- The "we like to hear the same perspective over and over again and this is fine" conference. https://t.co/Cd7HsZcPiw
- @sindresorhus 👇🏻💅🏻💯 https://t.co/kn3XRqVjgw
- @deeheber That's one of the organizers, also a white middle-aged man.
- @meikeco 🤞🏻
- @maaretp So sorry he made you feel that you didn't belong. You absolutely do! It's sad that he still gets put on stages where he can continue doing this.
- This means you need to do your own research and work into discovering new people to learn from. https://t.co/SOWy3vIqZf
- @maaretp 👏🏻
- @AlexJonesax I think @_francied could be a great co-host!
- #HackerX virtual is coming up for Oslo, and I'm looking forward be on the employer side of the screen ... should be fun to meet 24 people in 2 hours. https://t.co/SmTZE8pD9I
- A morning by the sea. #Frosta #Trondheim #Norway 🇳🇴 #butfirstcoffee https://t.co/UiHGTuOGeB
- @alt_lv Camping, but it's just an hour from where we live. https://t.co/oDhPxLmEpY
- @byteborg Wochenende!
- @_francied @maikroservice @nisrulz Oh, wow! That means a lot to me! Let's keep chipping away the cruft of this industry, together! https://t.co/VTw2mDEm1a
- @maaretp What is the most surprising outcome of doing it?
- @mirjam_diala I am so sorry! 💔 You gave her an amazing life she'll always be with you.
- If you are rejecting a candidate after a call, the least you can do is give them a pointer towards topics they should improve. This will give them a meaningful outcome of the rejection, and you also more clarity about what you are looking for.
- I've heard this from multiple contacts. That's BS. https://t.co/1OvZl7E8N9
- @martinjuhasz This is so bad, imagine how they could instead create a long-lasting bond: they tell you an area where you might improve and you do, then even if you find a job somewhere else, you will always remember this positively as a time where you got input to grow, instead of a rejection.
- @emsuiko Did you ask them to clarify what legal reasons there are to not give feedback?
- @emsuiko That's what I thought. It's not a legal reason, it's a bull-shit cover-your-ass reason.
- Love projects like this: try to push the envelope , fail, and leave a note for the future when someone picks up the work again. // FIXME: @rustembedded needs better networking support. https://t.co/N6c0ikO9uc
- @bitandbang I achieve this by creating custom actions: https://t.co/o3zwba3JIk
- @bitandbang Yeah, agreed!
- @agile_bodensee @gazebo_c Mir war gar nicht klar dass die #abkon remote statt findet! https://t.co/d4Wo9uUV2Y
- @beriberikix @rustembedded Yeah, I don't know any other language right now that has this significant focus on embedded development. It's such an obvious improvement, I am certain this will be fixed, soon.
- LIES! https://t.co/nZ3Cv6IQMC
- Great to see that @cucumberbdd reaches out to its community and asks about belonging! https://t.co/tvyJHLFO2p
- Love this techno set! https://t.co/Rr7DzzRoGB
- Reminder: #Giveblood if you can! https://t.co/fm1tK10zbG
- #remote and #parttime possible! https://t.co/4OXnGf0lz7
- @QueerCodingGirl @mannersd Yes, this sucks. It's not OK and there is not reason that being trans should exclude you from donating blood. Norway has especially strict rules, which leads to a big shortage in donors...
- Do you love to make tech more accessible for a broad audience? We are hiring a Developer Advocate @NordicTweets in #Oslo 🇳🇴: https://t.co/Jke4oja3ZI 🥑 #devrel
- @garden_io Thanks for following, I might have a super small project to host for your gear, but it's really hard to find EU-based hosting for a Node.js app with git-based config, backups and *oh gosh* preview builds. So I'd give it a shot! https://t.co/vgBZviJWT8
- It seems too much to ask for a hosting solution for our open-source project that does not depend on a specific human clicking some buttons in a UI.
- I am going to show this clip to people who don't think manpanels and manferences are a problem. https://t.co/IusZ6yhnlA
- @BenoitChiquet Yeah I did, but calling the API is procedural. I am looking for a declarative way.
- @BenoitChiquet Would be cool to have a call about it.
- @GaelReyrol @clementd @BenoitChiquet @hsablonniere Cool, I think we have someone new on the @DistributeAid team who is familiar with TF.
- The @NordicTweets customers are, yes. https://t.co/ysfpTAtmG6
- Giving people full attention and being emotionally present in tough situations is so exhausting for me. Huge props to you managers out there who do this all day. 🙏🏻
- Next week I am going to talk to @ntnu students of Jenteprosjektet Ada about how #iot bridges the digital with the physical world and about the fascinating challenges we encounter ... and how to use a @microbit_edu to monitor kitchen herbs (which I clearly failed to do myself)! https://t.co/dnReVE6Bqc
- @chiedzajm Yes, and very often you can't really talk about it with others, because it's hard to convey the context. Every interaction is different.
- What has a @NordicTweets #nRF52840, runs #JavaScript and can be worn on your wrist? The @Espruino Bangle.js 2: https://t.co/F2EdvxCMXZ
- I know why @GitHub CodeSpaces exist ... because you can't run code that's hasn't been touched after a while on an up-to-date machine... #JavaScript 😭 https://t.co/txGbA5csIL
- @toggleModal Typhoons by @royalblooduk: https://t.co/1y7OmbM088
- Totally missed the CfP for the #embedded #NDCTechTown, I've learned so much about #cellularIoT since I spoke the last time @NDC_Conferences in Oslo. https://t.co/T1WaeAhMMA
- @borderless_dev @digitalocean @opencollect @bionhart @_deammer @hola_soy_milk Thank you, Taylor! That means a lot!
- Yes, I am a fan of https://t.co/rSS4CZk2RI! https://t.co/cY83nkACaB
- Preparing a fun event for Monday! https://t.co/Co7wvYDGjM
- @Markus306 @CalliopeMini Yes that's also a great device, but we @NordicTweets have a great collaboration with @microbit_edu, that's why we use them for our workshop: https://t.co/9ctdweksVj
- We can put away the meter stick. #Norway is dropping all Corona restrictions by tomorrow. https://t.co/rRA3GbIO3v
- @murtikano We have pretty high vaccination rates so let's hope this really helps to contain it, at least withing Norwegian borders.
- @meikeco Wohl im Loddo gewonne?!
- Why would someone do that?! https://t.co/WaZPDccHL7
- @da_berni_ Same flooring as under the regular floor.
- I heard from the previous owner that this was done so the floor panels could move... I mean there is other heavy furniture so I wouldn't do that, but at least I know the reason now.
- @Kiview Yeah, not sure why this was done here. Especially since the oven that stands there can be moved.
- A well rounded asshole. Leader (white, christian, male) of a big German party calls efforts towards more inclusive language "absurd" and calls it "enforced reeducation". Also, wants to ban women from wearing the Hijab at schools and have the christian cross on the walls there. https://t.co/CliRRpbNML
- My most meaningful achievement this week was not some piece of code I pushed, but the a conflict I helped to resolve. I could have ignored it after learning about it, because it doesn't really affect me, but what is a business worth, if we don't care about the people in it?
- @VolkerGoebbels @heiglandreas Hopeless.
- @kriscorbus Yes, this is where our fireplace stands, but I was wondering about the reason why the flooring was cut out. https://t.co/2WtPWgLOzn
- @kriscorbus We'll, this house is only 70 years old.
- OMG @tiesto is coming to #Trondheim! https://t.co/H5sRQdgyKm
- I can't recommend anything more that sitting down with a student and working on one of your codebases. So many concepts are hidden, obscured which you no longer see. https://t.co/c15jTpoUOT
- Today Jenteprosjektet Ada from @NTNU is here in #Trondheim to get to know us. https://t.co/7oSpQGLIJF
- Carsten Wulff talks about why it matters to work here: https://t.co/iLBf9rNanz
- Heidi-Irene now talks about her career at Nordic. https://t.co/mGT0OJ7yKh
- She works in Technical Support and gives insights into how multi-faceted this job is. https://t.co/G7EUU8mvVu
- Now my summer student Lena talks about her experience now that she's worked here for a view months. https://t.co/qrSnX1wvIz
- Working with students today @NordicTweets inspired me to build the matrix code with the @microbit. Looks much cooler in reality than what my camera can capture due to LED flickering. https://t.co/yBZJnpr8yd https://t.co/ABDWNPKiGZ
- @spazierendenken https://t.co/NvsyK8ciM0 if you can manage the backup yourself.
- @spazierendenken In that case check out https://t.co/yG14uVQVwQ ... It's open source but has a cloud backend.
- @nelisboucke IME testing in React apps is very often an afterthought and solved via end-to-end tests. New developers eventually will discover @kentcdodds very well marketed content and follow his concepts.
- @nelisboucke If you are looking for good content, @dtanzer has done a lot of work around testing React properly.
- @nelisboucke @matteo_pierro @dtanzer However, I think testing React is because of React's design pretty hard (use of globals, hooks), so I believe the current industry standard is to use TypeScript, unit test non-react code, and use browser automation tools like @Cypress_io to do happy path testing.
- It's all fun and unicorns until you start sending binary data.
- @jke Oder an den Fahrradstraßen: https://t.co/jUob662Bf3
- @EmmaBostian Can I go play mum? Have you fixed issue #542?
- @_francied Encourage others to speak about their salary, and offer to share yours.
- Still no luck with hiring an experienced cloud solution engineer ... another candidate who rejected the offer. I am not mad about it. But I'll reconsider my strategy ...
- @sharifsbeat The current one is to hire an experienced engineer that can take on big projects independently.
- @Tobias_Mende Yeah, I do. It's all fine, it's a candidate market so there is a huge competition out there, especially from companies who pay US salaries for remote positions. I started hiring 8 months ago for a senior role, so I am not surprised that it didn't work out. So I need to adapt.
- It's still time to sign up for @HackerX virtual #Oslo, which happens tomorrow: https://t.co/RuYIWwgApr I'm looking forward to be speaking to you! #hiring #fullstack
- @mattsches Eine Queue fuer eine Queue?!
- @jke Der Babo weiß bescheid!
- Northern lights over #Trondheim are always a nice surprise! https://t.co/CQXrbzKH5s
- But also beautiful without them. #Trondheim 🇳🇴 https://t.co/Rh4cqg6pSm
- Wondered today which incentives product managers have to comission refactoring and preventive maintenance tasks. It's obviously so that these tasks don't schedule surprise downtimes for you. But these are invisible chores that are hard to keep in mind when innovating.
- @rifkiamil @workinstartups @milkroundabout This is the ad: https://t.co/NXS2rHksj9 We use multiple channels to promote this (various job platforms, local tech job boards, social media).
- @nelisboucke I must be, otherwise how will the PM understand what makes or breaks the product? Of course the developers should have the knowledge about debt, but many prefer to work on new shiny things.
- @j19sch Yeah, that's also what I think works best. PM can focus on providing input related to features, while developers have an eye on the overall health of the codebase. The thing is that the PM role is much more formalized and therefore tends to have more power.
- Nice! https://t.co/DubNGGL9x5
- @EmmaBostian Yay, you can now finally connect your baby to WiFi!
- Getting ready for the @HackerX #Oslo virtual event. I've prepared a Miro board with our current #fullstack roles: https://t.co/i5k9tmkki0 ... feel free to have a look and DM me on Twitter or via email. I'm also happy to chat about other opportunities @NordicTweets. https://t.co/hC8Ke6yYaP
- @PanzerDominik @HackerX @NordicTweets Not using that, because unfortunately it does not work with my new DELL OptiPlex 7090. Used to work on my 4+ old OptiPlex, though. That's why I use the Razor headset.

- @_francied I'd say that @nelisboucke and @malk_zameth work on the engineering side of problems and look at the entire team, in order to tackle issues.
- @vicbergquist Me too! It hasn't been as scary/exciting as this in a long time!
- So, we are traveling with @flysas/@lufthansa from Trondheim to Frankfurt, and have boarding passes already, but one of our "digital document checks" failed (w/o helpful info). I guess we'll see what that means practically.
- @petkasp From Trondheim to Frankfurt only proof of vaccination is needed. Will see how that goes tomorrow...
- #Aurora over #Trondheim 🇳🇴 https://t.co/TheeWi4lfU

- @ClareSudbery A positive variant without the overloaded idea of authority is "role model".
